Our stay in Bamako has been quite comfortable and very interesting. In many ways Bamako reminded us of Ouaga with the advantage of having a wide, wild river cutting it in two and providing a bit of fresh air.

 We met a frenchman married to a local who had a very cutelittle boy whom Elias adored, and a french couple from France who had come to adopt a baby.  Great insights into the local culture and good times were shared.  Once again tough we had to say farewell...

 

Notre sejour a Bamako s’est tres bien passe.  A bien des egards cette ville nous a rappelle Ouaga, avec l’avantage d’avoir le fleuve au milieu, comme un gigantesque poumon, qui permet de s’echapper au calme..

Nous avons rencontre un francais marie avec une malienne, parents d’un petit Hugo de 7 mois qu’Elias a immediatement pris sous son aile (!), ainsi qu’un couple de francais venu adopter une petite malienne de 7 mois adorable.  Ambiance tres jardin d’enfants donc, et echanges culturels interessants.  Demain, il sera a nouveau temps de dire au revoir.
