Arrival at Jo’burg

First impressions of South Africa are overwhelmingly positive, although admittedly we stayed in a posh area and did not venture too far out of Sandton.
After, over a month in Ghana, Jo’burg clearly has a more Western feeling than an African one.  In fact, any town in Europe, is probably more ethnically mixed than some of the places we have seen here.  Still, all the people we have talked to are extremely friendly and welcoming, which is quite remarkable for such a large city.

The day spent in Sandton was a welcome occasion to relax and to stock up on things which are not available in Ghana - mainly clothes for Elias who is still growing fast, and a booster seat for the car.
Our travel plans are not particularly ambitious, i.e. game reserve near Kruger Park and a couple of days in Sodwana Bay, where some fantastic diving awaits. Then, it will be time to go back.  Already, I know this trip will be no more than a rapid overview of what this amazing country has to offer...  We will enjoy every minute of it, but we will have to come back.
No pictures for this one, sorry !
