We very much enjoyed our couple of in Togo and Benin.  Great scenery, variety, friendly people, and good food.  And you never get bored on the road ! We stayed an extra day in Benin since we found the border was closed on polling day.  On the other side we travelled with two armed policemen - ‘coupeurs de route’ have been known to operate in the area. Well, they also needed a lift in a comfortable car...
